Recent Cases

Recent Cases helps staff review recent moderation actions from the Dashboard.

It is useful when you need to quickly check why a member was warned, muted, kicked, banned, purged, or affected by a mass action.

What Recent Cases shows

Depending on your version, cases can include:

  • Case number
  • Action
  • Moderator
  • Target user
  • Reason
  • Time
  • Status
  • Related log details

Common uses

Use Recent Cases to:

  • Review what happened before answering an appeal.
  • Confirm a moderation action succeeded.
  • Find the reason for a warning, mute, kick, or ban.
  • Check mass action results.
  • Compare staff activity with App Activity.

Dashboard filter improvements make Recent Cases easier to use.

Try filtering by:

  • User
  • Moderator
  • Action type
  • Time period
  • Search text

Best practices

  • Always include clear reasons when using moderation commands.
  • Keep moderation logs enabled.
  • Use Recent Cases before reversing a staff action.
  • Pair Recent Cases with App Activity when investigating dashboard changes.

Troubleshooting

If cases are missing:

  • Confirm the Moderation plugin is enabled.
  • Confirm logs are configured.
  • Refresh the Recent Cases panel.
  • Confirm the action happened after logging was enabled.
  • Check whether the action failed or was skipped.

If the panel refreshes unexpectedly or looks outdated, refresh the page and check whether a newer website version is available.
