App Activity

App Activity is Lockie's audit trail for bot and dashboard activity.

It helps staff see who changed settings, used commands, updated templates, and performed important actions.

What App Activity tracks

Depending on your version and enabled plugins, App Activity can help track:

  • Commands used by staff
  • Dashboard setting saves
  • Plugin changes
  • Template changes
  • Premium-related dashboard actions
  • Moderation activity
  • Bot and web activity tied to a user ID

Why it matters

Without App Activity, staff may see that a setting changed but not know who changed it. App Activity makes those changes easier to review.

Use it to answer:

  • Who enabled this plugin?
  • Who changed this setting?
  • Who updated this embed template?
  • Who used a moderation command?
  • What happened before an issue started?

Connect App Activity to Discord logs

  1. Open https://lockieapp.ca
  2. Select your server.
  3. Open the Moderation plugin.
  4. Set the Action Logs Channel.
  5. Save changes.
  6. Make a safe dashboard change.
  7. Confirm the activity appears in the Dashboard or the action log channel.

Using filters

Recent Dashboard improvements make App Activity easier to search and filter.

Use filters to narrow by:

  • User
  • Action type
  • Plugin or feature
  • Time period
  • Dashboard or bot activity

Best practices

  • Keep action logs in a staff-only channel.
  • Review App Activity after major incidents.
  • Use user IDs when usernames are unclear or changed.
  • Do not give dashboard access to roles that do not need it.
  • Use App Activity with Recent Cases for a fuller picture.

Troubleshooting

If App Activity is empty:

  • Confirm the feature is available for your version.
  • Confirm the Moderation plugin is enabled.
  • Confirm an Action Logs Channel is set if you expect Discord logs.
  • Make a new dashboard change after enabling it.
  • Refresh the Dashboard.

See Dashboard Guide for setup details.
