NSFW Detection
NSFW Detection helps reduce unwanted unsafe or adult content in channels where it does not belong.
TIP
Feature names can vary by version. Some versions may call this Anti-NSFW, Anti-Image, image checks, or a similar protection name.
What it helps with
Depending on your version, NSFW Detection can help with:
- Unsafe image content
- Inappropriate media in public channels
- Content that should be kept out of community areas
- Staff review through protection logs
Configure NSFW Detection
- Open https://lockieapp.ca
- Select your server.
- Open the Anti Check or Protection section.
- Enable Anti-NSFW or the matching image check module.
- Choose the action, such as log, delete, or timeout if available.
- Set your protection log channel.
- Add safe channels or exempt roles only where appropriate.
Recommended setup
Start with:
- Log only or delete only.
- A dedicated protection log channel.
- Clear exempt staff channels.
- Manual review before stronger actions.
Best practices
- Tell members where media is allowed and not allowed.
- Keep logs enabled so staff can review actions.
- Avoid broad exemptions unless you trust the channel and staff process.
- Test in a private staff channel before enabling strong actions.
Troubleshooting
If NSFW Detection is not triggering:
- Confirm the module is enabled.
- Confirm Lockie can see the channel.
- Confirm Lockie has Manage Messages if deletion is enabled.
- Confirm the channel or role is not exempt.
If it triggers too often:
- Review the log.
- Exempt only the channels that truly need it.
- Lower the action severity while tuning.
