Dox Detection
Dox Detection helps reduce the risk of members posting sensitive personal information in your server.
What it helps with
Doxxing can include sensitive details such as addresses, phone numbers, IDs, or other private information. Lockie looks for common risky patterns, applies your configured action, and creates a protection log so staff can respond quickly.
Configure Dox Detection
- Open https://lockieapp.ca
- Select your server.
- Open the Anti Check or Protection section.
- Enable Anti-Dox.
- Choose the action, such as log, delete, timeout, kick, or ban if available.
- Set your protection log channel.
- Review whitelist and blacklist entries.
Whitelist and blacklist limits
Standard servers usually have these Anti-Dox limits:
| List | Standard limit |
|---|---|
| Anti-Dox whitelist | 15 entries |
| Anti-Dox blacklist | 15 entries |
Premium may unlock higher limits or unlimited checks depending on the plan.
When to use the whitelist
Use the whitelist carefully. It should only be used for trusted cases where Lockie is catching something safe or expected.
Good uses include:
- Staff-only testing channels
- Specific safe entries that repeatedly cause false positives
- Internal resources that staff need to share
When to use the blacklist
Use the blacklist for content patterns or entries your server never wants posted.
Keep entries specific. Broad entries may block normal messages.
New account controls
If you use kick or ban actions with Anti-Dox, you can limit those actions to new accounts.
Common options include:
- Only kick new accounts
- Only ban new accounts
- Kick new account days
- Ban new account days
The maximum threshold is 14 days.
See New Account Controls.
Best practices
- Keep protection logs enabled.
- Use strong actions carefully.
- Exempt private staff channels only when needed.
- Review false positives with your staff team.
- Keep whitelist entries narrow.
- Make privacy rules clear to members.
Troubleshooting
If Dox Detection is not triggering:
- Confirm Anti-Dox is enabled.
- Confirm Lockie can see the channel.
- Confirm the channel or role is not exempt.
- Confirm the content is not whitelisted.
- Check that Lockie has permission for the configured action.
If Dox Detection triggers too often:
- Review the log reason.
- Add narrow whitelist entries.
- Remove broad blacklist entries.
- Lower the action severity while tuning.
